Could use some Help

After reading an article by Ed Stetzer and having a conversation with some friends about it, I'd like to hear some of your thoughts on creative ways to share the gospel. I don't mean how to make the gospel more creative. The gospel is the gospel and is the power of God for salvation. We don't need a new gospel. However, I am looking for creative ways to get that gospel to those within the community. Any thoughts would help.

There is a lot of way to do it out of love for Christ! You can do all this and share the gospel during this special time.
1) Car Wash (Right now, it is too cold to do that).
2)Clean the snow off their driveway and walk! Scrape snow or ice of the window of the car or SUV.
3)Chothing exchange to draw other to come to get free chothing.
4) Super Bowl gathering and encourage your sheep to invite other who wouldn't come to church to be in Super Bowl gathering. It isn't too late yet! That should be Feb 1st! Share the gospel during the break time!
5) There are many other way to do it and be able to share the gospel to them.

I have some real reservations about the emerging church, but they do one thing better than traditional churches have done in the recent past: community service. One of the things we do in Spain is create community service projects not just for the sake of doing them, but for the sake of the gospel. It happens two ways: corporately and individually. Corporately would be taking a mens group to do some work around a widows house or help someone move (someone who is not a member of the church.) Individual service happens naturally if you let it: help a mom who's hands are full load groceries into her car, invite your neighbors over for dinner... offer yourself to others for service is the idea. Now the emerging church does that well, then stops. I submit that we could do that well and continue with explaining the gospel both through our actions and our words.

Thanks to both of you. I think you both have the same idea that I have, which is to make sure the gospel is proclaimed. I have reservations about several groups (not the least of them is the emerging/emergent stuff out there), which is why I stated that the gospel doesn't need a change. The gospel is the gospel! Thanks for the ideas. Looking forward to hearing more.

servant evangelism stuff---steve sjogren is probably one of the top experts in this field. he's written "conspiracy of kindness" and "101 ways to reach your community". all ideas very easy (and mostly) cheap.

I was thinking more about this last night but was at work.

Giving away books such as Fifty Reasons Why Jesus Came to Die and other books Seeing and Savoring Jesus Christ. Also The Gospel of John in ESV.

I used to go out to eat a lot but can't now. This is what I used to leave for tip along with tip money.

We at CBCW had been doing this.

You can get case of them through Desiring God for a $1 each.

The Gospel of John ESV from CrossWay.

Encourge your church family to do the same as they go out to eat or leave it at the doctor's office waiting room, or give to their friends.
